Educator. Composer. Lunch Bag Artist... (that's a thing, right?)

Check out my latest music, art, and blog.
From hearing my music performed by a symphony orchestra in the concert hall at Honolulu’s Blaisdell Center, to a particularly unique jam session with an old, self-styled hippy in his tree house in Topanga Canyon, I have found music creation to be a constantly evolving adventure in my life—and I hope it never stops.
I have had been privileged to have a lifetime of unique and exhilarating experiences in music and it has been my mission to recreate this for my students. This rich diversity of experience has helped me to constantly reinvent and reevaluate my methods and philosophies as a teacher.
Making art through the mundane just comes naturally to me. That is how "lunch bag dad" started. I couldn't send my kids to school with plain brown lunch bags. Each day they brought out their lunch was an experience with art (or at least something that could be loosely labelled as "art"...)
